I Want to Sell My Marriott Timeshare - What Should I Do?

clock June 3, 2008 17:08 by author SellTimeshareSolution

Where do I start?

My first call was to the resort.  They said they would help me, but they would charge a 40% commission.  40%!

In addition to the 40% commission I have no say in setting the price - they set the price for me.  Basically, I’m put on the list and the buyers are matched up with sellers based upon who was on the list first.  So, if there were 150 sellers on the list before me, I will have to wait one by one from number 1 until they get to me at number 151.

It's my understanding that they don't aggressively market MY timeshare. The only way someone knows MY timeshare is for sale is if someone visits the resort. The resort will not provide any advertising for me.

So, educate yourself, stay informed.  Take a look at these timeshare sellers' tips.  There you will find out about timeshare resales brokers, developers, timeshare advertising companies, local, national and regional timeshare brokers and more.
