I am still bullish on Marriott. And like I said in the title, today's report of fourth quarter losses do not tell the whole story of what is and what will be happening with Marriott (MAR). Most analysts say that declining sales in Marriott's timeshare division are accounting for the shortfall in their revenue. A decline in their timeshare financing also accounts for the slowing pace.  Timeshare ownership with Marriott continues to be in big demand in the timeshare resales market. There is a huge interest in buying and using their product. They offer some of the finest resort vacation experiences in the world. Those who own and use their Marriott timeshare can attest to that. And judging from the changes they are making they will continue to be the "top shelf" timeshare in the industry.

Cheers to Marriott for celebrating their 800th Courtyard Hotel. On his blog, Bill Marriott said that they "currently have Courtyard hotels in almost thirty countries around the world. In 2009 alone, we will be opening five Courtyard hotels in India, and by the end of 2011 we will have eight new Courtyards throughout the Middle East."
